MONEY-SAVING IDEAS
Your Discount Club, brought to you by Green at Home Solutions, is a great way to save money. If you like the idea of buying one $100 gift card for gas, but receiving three $100 gift cards, you’ll love Your Discount Club.
If you only spend $200 for gas each month, then you can sell the 3rd $100 gas card for, let’s say, $50. You would then have paid just $50.00 for $200 worth of gas.
If you only spend $100 for gas each month, then you can sell the other 2 $100 gas cards for, again let’s say, $50 each. You would then have received your $100 of gas FREE!
There are several gas cards to choose from. You can even choose a different one each month.
The gas savings is just one way to put money back into your budget. There are also great savings on motels/hotels, restaurants, health and beauty, recreation, travel and groceries.

331 WAYS TO SAVE MONEY:
19 MORE TIPS:
Stop charging anything to credit cards if you do not pay them off each month. If you cannot do this, everything should be out of pocket, paid for in cash. Don’t look at credit lines as bank accounts with money in them.
Stop buying more clothes even if they’re on sale, and especially if it’s only because you want them. If you think about it, you probably have enough to get you by just fine. Learn to do without ‘wish list’ things in order to reach your goal of financial freedom…free of debt.
Cut back on the TV service: This one always comes first because chances are you are like most people who are paying too much money just to watch television. How much TV do you watch? (add up the hours). Invest half the hours in TV into your family, friends and helping in the community, and towards a second income stream. Watch your life change as a result. You can easily cut down your cable services to the basic cable. Or you can even get the new PC Internet Television services which will enable you to access over 3000 channels for a small one time fee and then you do not have to worry about paying any monthly bills.
Don’t pay for movies to watch on cable TV, or rent premium-priced new videos. Wait til they are on TV or for when they’re cheaper to rent, in the future. Don’t go to the $5 per rental stores when you can use Redbox and $1 per rental.
Don’t keep buying new music CDs or DVDs of movies or games. Listen to the radio instead. It’s free. Or listen on the internet. While many streaming audio music stations are free, Pandora.com has a small monthly fee once the free trial period is up. But it’s a great station where you can select any type of genre you desire.
Cancel Your Land Line: Most people today have a cell phone that you can begin using in place of paying for both land line and cell phone services. Find a good family plan cell phone service where each member can have a phone. Consolidate.
Wash Full Loads Of Clothes: Avoid washing small loads of clothing that will use a lot of electricity. If you buy clothes, buy ones you don’t have to spend money to dry clean.
Heat & electric: Install A Programmable Thermostat. This will ensure that you are not over cooling or heating your home and keeping it at a comfortable level. Keep the lights and heat off in rooms you are not in.
Carpool: If you go to work at the same time as some of your buddies and you live close by; why not carpool so that you can save money on gas. Or, take the bus. It takes longer to get to work, but the savings can really add up. Also, if you are going to the airport… don’t drive and then pay for parking while gone, and don’t take a spendy cab. Take the light rail, or have a friend drive you there, and pick you up when you return.
Pack Your Lunch For Work: imagine how much money this can save you over time.
Don’t go out to eat so much, and if you do… don’t go to the more expensive restaurants. When you do go out, don’t spend those many dollars on expensive and unhealthy desserts. If you buy something to drink, get the best. Water. And it’s free!
Don’t spend money on going to see new movies at a premium ticket price. Go when it’s only a few bucks a person.
Cut back on the trips you take that take up your money for gas, food and motel rooms.
Minimize or cut out paying for spendy drinks at a restaurant or bar. Do the same for desserts which are unhealthy anyway.
Minimize or cut out going to Starbucks. One person buying one mocha a day = $1000 a year caffeine habit. Discipline yourself.
Keep your vehicle maintained. Regularly check tire pressure. When it’s low, tires tend to wear out faster. Also, don’t be heavy on the gas pedal. Accelerate moderately. Don’t gun it.
Buy the necessities on sale or in bulk
Clip coupons. Go to www.moneymaniac.com to see how Jessica Richardson is coupon clipping and frequently saving over 90% on everyday items.
Supplement your income. Complement your job income with a home-based business. It gives not only a 2nd income, but gives you all the legal tax deductions as well. Ideally, pursue passive residual income rather than something where you are only selling items with a markup.
Get your income levels up and your spending levels down to where you can easily live within your means and have money to embrace opportunities. Just choose the disciplines suggested above, added to ones you have learned elsewhere, and watch the benefits unfold.
